Commemorating Nakaya Ukichiro, a famous scientist known as the first person to produce artificial snow crystals, and is known for his saying, "Snow crystals are letters sent from heaven." This science museum was built in his hometown, Katayamazu Onsen. The museum introduces Ukichiro's versatility through science, his essays, a movie, and paintings. Visitors can enjoy beautiful and exciting experiments such as making diamond dust and ice pendants. Enjoy a magnificent view of Hakusan and Shibayamagata from the tea room, "Fuyu no Hana."
