These Artists Turn Stiff Bamboo into Beautifully Flexible Doll Hair

The Bamboo Doll Gallery features exhibits of many beautiful bamboo dolls created by artists, taking advantage of the bamboo's natural straight lines and curves to create incredible works of art. The dolls' hair is particularly stunning: the artisans carefully split the bamboo into fibers 0.2 mm thick — or even finer — to produce a remarkably convincing “hair.” Visitors can also watch these experts work, or try making their own simple bamboo dolls.
